Xchel Hernandez-Zendejas
Xchel Hernandez-Zendejas Xchel is proud to be the artistic director of The Mixed Nuts here at Dramagenics. He has always been fascinated by the improv scene. He began his improv journey in 2004 by attending his first improv class and hasn't stopped since. Xchel has had instruction from local improvisers Matt Rosin and Galapagos of the new Torch Improv Theater in Phoenix. He also completed training through the summer intensive program at the Improv Olympic in Chicago. Always active in the improv scene, he has performed with The Originals and Ferguson. He can currently be seen with the Light Rail Pirates, The Phoenix Neutrino Project and of course The Mixed Nuts. Xchel also volunteers his time with the Phoenix Improv Festival. Xchel enjoys teaching the kids and teen camps at Dramagenics and loves co-directing the Mixed Nuts. He doesn't know exactly where improv will lead him, but he has great passion for the art and knows it will always be part of his life and work. Xchel would like to thank Joe Kelepolo for the opportunity to be a creative entity and his parents for all their support. Xchel believes in the motto "life is improv, improv is life," Del Close.
